Novavax’s malaria vaccine contains a proprietary ingredient, called Matrix-M, that the company also injects in its COVID-19 vaccine candidate NVX-CoV2373 and flu vaccine candidate NanoFlu. Matrix-M is an adjuvant used to enhance a vaccine’s immune response. In the case of the COVID-19 vaccine, Novavax uses a lab-made version of the spike protein of the original coronavirus to train the immune system to produce antibodies. When exposed to the harmful virus, the adjuvant signals the immune system to spring into action.

not approval... emergency use authorization. BIG difference.

None of them have won FDA approval, they have been granted emergency use exemptions.

Don’t need it now. We have a vaccine surplus. Anyone who has not taken a jab by now does not want it.

Also in line is Covaxin, from India, that a US company has the rights to here. I don’t think it will make it, and if it does frankly I think we’re at market saturation anyway here in the US. Maybe a new vaccine, if it were marketed correctly, might get some hesitant people to take it. Or maybe the opposite.

This one has an exceptionally low negative reaction rate.

Live Action reports, “Maryland-based drugmaker Novavax is ‘using an ethically-derived invertebrate cell line Sf9’ in testing its vaccine, which is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials. Companies like Novavax and Sanofi are clearly demonstrating that safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines can be developed without reliance on abortion-derived cell lines. Novavax is among a handful of vaccines that may be available in the United States as soon as spring 2021.”

As one of the Novavax "Lab Rats" in their phase 3 trials, I have had zero reactions to their vaccine. Got my first shot on 12/31/2020 and second three weeks later. Being a regular blood donor..., twice since then..., my blood showed no antibodies today's. Novavax modified the trial to give all participants another 2 shots... Those who got placebos (like me it seemed) got the actual vaccine and those who initially got the "Real Deal" got a Placebo... I'm due to give blood again next month so I'll see antibodies hopefully! In any event, at age 77..., no reactions to their vaccine!
Having grown up as a Navy Brat and then serving in the Naval Reserve, I have been shot up with countless vaccines over the years. Only had a severe reaction to a Flu Vaccine 40+ years ago...

As far as I know, there was no fetal cell involvement at all with Novavax, so there’s the option for people who have been not wanting to be vaccinated because of that.

The above chart from the pro-life Lozier Institute gives the rundown on each vaccine.
Novavax does use an abortion line for testing. It does not use abortion cells in production.
But, as has been pointed out, any use of abortion will weaken the anti-abortion argument in the future. Our opponents’ response will always be, “But you used it when it was convenient to you.” Then they’ll leave you to try to make some kind of cogent argument about how testing is different than production so far a utilitarianism is concerned.
