I dont know what you mean by ‘strict’ protocols? They are clearly not permanent and can be re-positioned. There is flag protocol and etiquette that formally should be respected. I have long forgotten the details of flag protocol since my military days, but moving a flag wasn’t a great sin then and I don’t expect it is now.
That dems have little respect for the military is nothing new since the Clinton years. They despised military personnel and were even offended by military assigned White House detail for wearing the uniform in the White House.
Perhaps I wasn’t clear and a bit hasty in my posting.
Protocol defines what flag is placed where when they are on display.
The military flags have an order of placement.
IF they are moved, like most dems do, then the standard US flag is placed over the presidents right shoulder and the presidential flag over his left shoulder.
Some poster said to just place the US flag over his left shoulder and that isn’t done.
