They see it as exploiting someone having a 'very bad day' at work.

Or someone who is emotionally fragile or has some issues. Either way, it's pretty disgusting to publicly humiliate someone like this. Doing it explicitly because they're white makes it an instance of pure, hate-filled racism.

That was very cruel of the complaining customer.
The clerk was obviously autistic. They have a right to work too, just like everyone else. It wasn’t necessary to hound him with the camera that way. It was plain old sadistic.

However, as one poster here said, this kid probably should not have that position, unless he is working with another staff. Customers do become irate at times.
