Sounds like a garbage movie.
She spent several years in South Dakota following cowboys around for her 2nd film. And here’s some of her other stuff:
It’s the most depressing movie... McDormand character husband dies and she drifts away from this crappy small town and works menial jobs traveling from city or should say town to town with other 60-somethings living in vans working contract type jobs like boxing things at Amazon. She is admired by other women from her hometown for having the guts to drift around and live this lifestyle. Hence ‘Nomad’ from the title but ‘vagabondland’ would have been more apt as characters were light on self-providing.
It’s actually a good movie.
