California has banned selling gasoline cars in the state after 2035, and Britain is aiming for 2030
For growing numbers of people, the car era as we’ve known it, as an expression of identity, will fade away, except for a passionate minority that wants to keep their hands on the wheel.
When GM’s very first car, the Chevrolet Classic 6, appeared on Detroit’s streets in 1912, it ran on gasoline. Some 112 years later, in 2034, the very last GM car that runs on gasoline is scheduled to roll off the assembly line. Starting in 2035, GM intends to make only electric cars, from its least expensive model, the $4,000 Hongguang Mini in China, to the “handcrafted” Cadillac Celestiq at $200,000-plus. The other major car companies, from Ford and Toyota to Volkswagen and Volvo, are heading in the same direction.
. The average car stays on the road in the U.S. for about 12 years. most cars today are parked 90% or more of the time.

Car hording to ensue the car restoring business is going to be in boom mode for some time.
People are really missing what is happening to them.
The swamp people intend for the peons, which is what those not certified swamp members will be,to live in row houses across the street from their job or near a mass transport system that will take them to their job.
Weekend trips with the travel trailer to the beach or the mountains will be beyond reach financially.
A return to the days of Tennessee Ernie Ford and I Owe My soul to the Company Store”.
Globalist’s want a society of users, not owners. Hail your Uber and go to your AirBnB, unless your social credit score is low, of course.
Do these idiots ever, I mean ever, take into account how much of the US is RURAL?!
The recent Tesla crash (Texas I think) should be opening a few eyeballs. The fire department dumped 30,000 gallons of water on the battery trying to put out the fire then had to just let it burn itself out.
Color me a skeptic.
One of my cars is 52 years old. The other is a sprightly 84. They can keep their golf carts...
Car: You’re in a Johnny Cab.
Arnold: How did I get here?
Car: The door opened. You got in.
This bit of government imposed madness will result in, as always, the opposite results.
Older ICE cars will stay on the road as long as possible. Think Cuba & ‘57 Chevies.
They can be forcibly relocated. Look at the end of WWII.

How do you know what to keep for stock?
Some of my friends have made frame-up restorations of their favorite car.
They all say it is not a moneymaker, you basically sell for what you put in it and not much for labor.
Yes, some guy somewhere sold for a bazillion dollars!
And some guy won the mega lotto.
Ahhh...someone else gets it.
They dream of this, and are taking actions to make it happen while everyone worries about racism that doesn’t exist and weather that’s not changing.
I’m old. I no longer care much. These younguns are going to be quite surprised one day and wish they had a do over.
Yes, and millions of us would like to see them try it those go round........
Electric vehicles would be the normal evolution of transportation but clowns all over the world are trying to make the birth of it a premature birth so they can claim credit for it happening.

I agree.
Out great and glorious leaders can give their friends taxpayer money, the friends kick back... all in the name of global warming.
Beyond the aholes, I think FSD is a good thing.
