A little torn on this story. Glad to see that a protector of a murderous criminal gets some karma but the Gestapo-like use of a government agency is worrisome for a nation heading towards totalitarian rule.
These are the fruits of the Reagan-era "War on Crime" - another war like the "War on Poverty", the "War on Terror", and the "War on Drugs" which the Federal Government didn't mind losing because of the expanded state power and oppressive tools they gained in the process.

You do understand *everyone* has a right to defend themselves in court, right?
And you also should remember, especially in light of the behavior of our *ahem* esteemed law-enforcement agencies, such as the FBI, that sometimes these agencies lie and fabricate evidence for political reasons.
How do you know the son-in-law was a criminal? Or does “innocent until proven guilty” no longer matter? Also do you have complete faith in government prosecutors? Ever dealt with a bad cop? I generally support police. But I have also dealt with bad cops.
Why do you hate America?
