Oscars used to be big. They actually meant something.
Now, I guess, they are all just woke. I am not sure, I have not watch it for decades.
Is anybody going to watch it now?!
I used to love watching them and found most of the movie stars of the 1970s and into the 1980s interesting, stylish and glamorous - probably because I knew little about them, and those people groomed and dressed themselves well. It started falling off as we headed into the 1990s. I haven’t watched the Oscars in ages either.
Hmmmmm. I’ve got a stove top that needs cleaning. And a large fluffy orange cat that could use a brushing. So, nope. All booked up.
Pawn shops near Beverly Hills and on the Miracle Mile are loaded with Oscars.

Well before and during my decades long film and TV production career, I used to live for Oscar night. Now, years later, I find it to be a very healthy sign that I didn't even know it was on tonight until reading this thread.
I might watch The Oscar tonight (from 1966).
