Buying Crypto Currency as an investment is insane. It should be owned as a speculative wild ride which is fine, just don’t count on putting your kids through college on the stuff.

People who bought several Bitcoin when it first came out made enough to put their kids through college. In 2011, a bitcoin cost $0.30 and a couple of months ago it was $65,000.00. People who bought a few hundred dollars worth in 2011 could buy or build a college today
But yes, it's very volatile and you should only invest what you can afford to lose.
