I guess Covid is over.
Well, I wasn’t going to shop there anyway.
But I do fear Rose is right, In some form, all of the big stores will do it soon, and I hope I’m dead before all the small, independent grocers do too.
Well...I don’t see it happening all that soon.
“Charles Morgan speaks to cadets and faculty at West Point about a range of topics, including psychology, neurobiology, and the science of humans at war. Dr. Morgan's neurobiological and forensic research has established him as an international expert in post-traumatic stress disorder, eyewitness memory, and human performance under conditions of high stress.
The event was organized and hosted by the Modern War Institute at West Point.”
I believe this is the Dr. Morgan in the video:https://newhaven.edu/faculty-staff-profiles/charles-morgan.php
Dr. Morgan is a Professor in the Department of National Security at the University of New Havens Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences. Dr. Morgan is a Forensic Psychiatrist, former intelligence officer, and Neuroscientist. The focus of his teaching is, national security (domestic and international intelligence analysis), issues in deception and psychological operations. Dr. Morgan is the Director of the National Security Research Laboratory at UNH and has grants from the US Government. His research is focused on enhancing the detection of deception and on improving the indirect assessments of human personalities.
I would hope folks have the good sense not to join that.
...says the guy whose phone identifies him for several of his
accounts.
Just-no...
The nearest Whole Foods$$$ is about 50 miles away from here-and too expensive-in a rural area, there are plenty of places to buy organic food where my identity isn’t recorded-and they don’t cost a fortune...
In BFE, we have no reason to go to Walmart, etc-many of us don’t-and cashless barter/trade is alive and well for transactions of all kinds. If I decide to get a tat, it will be something pretty-on my shoulder front-not a barcode...
Won’t they need someone to disinfect the scanner after every customer, to placate the Karens?
Well that's mistake #1 right there. You never keep biometrics, only hashes of biometrics. People don't need to replace their palms if hashes are stolen. Stolen hashes can't be reversed to identify anyone or be misused even if stolen by an insider.
The beast emerges....
..... find alternatives.
It’s creeping up on us...
