IMHO our CDC is extending its war on the cruise lines, now reaching out of this country to frustrate cruisers, and cruise lines.

Apparently the Cruise Lines thought they could get some leverage over the CDC by threatening to move the cruise ships to the Bahamas and Caribbean for a cruise restart independent of the CDC.

Looks like the CDC has a few more ways of detrimentally influencing cruising for Americans. -Tom

No loss imo. The Bahamas is, without a doubt, the most UN friendly of all the Islands. Aruba, Jamaica and Grenada are awesome.

Doesn’t CDC stand for Center for Democrat Control?
I’m sure it does. They think guns are a health problem also.

I suspect a ruse here.

Milton Waddams wants the islands to be less crowded so he can enjoy his retirement relaxation more. *

Of the nearly 400,000 residents of the Bahamas, just 15,000 have been vaccinated against COVID-19 to date.

The Brits should send over a few hundred thousand doses of their Astro Zeneca vaccine and get this done.

I know it’s not the Bahamas, but the wife and I went to Jamaica in October and Antigua in March. No problems at all.

Not sure if this true (only heard it anecdotally) but that outside of the resorts, the Bahamas are kinda run down and have crime problems in areas like Nassau and Freeport.

Is there any truth to this?

never trust a government that opens its border and distributes thousands of disease carrying invaders across its country during a so called global pandemic...

From the article: “It the CDC’s updated travel warning, they urge those who have been vaccinated to continue practicing social distancing and mask-wearing for the duration of your travel to the Bahamas.”

IOW, the same warnings they have issued for the United States.
