In September it was dead last year - true.
April through August in Miami is nuts. Orlando YMMV.

Never been to Miami. Kids are grown so we're done with Orlando/HouseofMouse (but I did like their Animal Kingdom resort).
We stay in the Panhandle (from Pensacola to Destin). September seems to be the sweet spot for this area.
