Have you seen the TV ads?
“I have regularly traveled between Orange County, CA and San Diego throughout, and I REALLY miss the empty freeways...I was making it in an hour and a half easy, and now it’s edging up to two, two and a half hours...pretty much like it was BEFORE Covid, unfortunately.”
One of our adult sons was seeing same the re less traffic NE of Gay Frisco. His office is just under 20 miles from his home. Before the pandemic, he had to be on the road before 6 am to get to his office by 8:30 arm.
During the pandemic’s early shutdowns, he could leave a little before 8 am and get there ahead of time.
That started changing about eight weeks ago. For some reason, Fridays are still light re traffic.
Bend is a great little town...I could move there...but it is Oregon.
One of our sons lived in the luxury condo Sun River area of Bend for a year, about 25 years ago.
He loved the great outdoors, however he warned us about how the liberals taken over the luxury condo area, new areas of Bend and even Bend itself.
Later, we realized that the liberals had taken over most if not all of the resort ski areas in Idaho, Oregone, California, Nevada, Colorado and New Mexico. They flew in and out of these areas in their private or leased jets.
One can only imagine what those areas are like now after CV19
‘You all look like frightened sheep out there.’
and at the same time they look like smugly superior sheep...
‘But I refuse to willingly participate in an activity where, if I’m not as freaked out as you are, you can by the rules shame and disparage me for not joining in the mask theater.’
but that’s the entire point of one size fits all mask mandates, conferring smugness...
BOL!
Thanks for being kind.:)
We, the evil conservative ones are making slow headway even in California.
We live in a hilly with some steep hills area. There is usually wind from 5 to 15 MPH. So no way for a virus to survive. Walking up and down these hills with a mask is not good for your body. However a year ago the masked ones were all over our hills panting and glaring at us
Through us jeering and booing the masked ones, we basically don’t see any masked idiots on the streets in our area.
My wife went to an outside church lady luncheon last week, and she has scheduled another for this month at another restaurant. She will be hosting a bible study group in her garden early next month. Our church will have its first inside service in May.
Slow, but powerful positive changes are happening even in Californicator land.
Again: Thanks for being kind.:)
I like to spread joy and sunshine wherever I go.
I was in an area full of mask psychos for all of 2020, and hiked regularly in a wooded park area, where 90% of the people wore masks either all the time or put them on whenever other people got near.
There is nothing more ridiculous than wearing masks outdoors in the woods, so I naturally refused to do so. I got some nasty looks, which I promptly met with some icy direct eye contact, but no one ever had the nerve to say anything.
Except for a rare few, I doubt my actions had any positive influence on the general public’s grasp on reality. Instead, I think having someone to blame for their fear sometimes cements people’s delusions.
Seeing people driving alone with masks, riding bikes with masks, jogging with masks, and walking out in the middle of nowhere with masks has shown me just how gullible and submissive most people really are, to the point where I now understand how the atrocities throughout history were possible. I wouldn’t have believed that before 2020.
The above Covid reality as seen by a realist.
