Singer Ian Brown has pulled out of a festival appearance over his refusal to play events that "accept vaccination proof as condition of entry".
The former Stone Roses frontman had been due to headline the Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington in September.
But on Wednesday he told fans the set "will not happen".
Organisers declined to tell the BBC whether audiences would be expected to have the vaccine, but said they would follow government advice.
"No decisions will be taken by government until 21 June at the earliest," it said in a statement.
Brown has been vocal in his criticism of the Covid vaccine, using his Twitter account to protest the idea of a "vaccine passport" and railing against the use of masks to prevent the spread of the virus.

Props to him. Vaccinations as well as mask wearing should be voluntary, IMHO. And, by the same token, folks should be required to accept complete responsibility for whatever consequences accrue to them as a potential result of their decisions.

Really? He “must”? Perhaps he simply thinks that people should have the right to be free.
Until I read your post, I thought I was on a conservative, pro-Constitution site.

Gubmint insists a vaccine passport be installed on your smartphone.
Then, Gubmint can track you, your friends and shut down your bank account, deny you public transport or ability to buy gas or hire an uber.
The Gubmint is rolling out a social credit (blacklist) system cause, Covid.
Naomi Wolf has a great point, the gubmint can issue a 2x3 paper card with every jab. Problem solved.
