Another 5” of snow, and hard freeze last week; another snowy day tomorrow. At least it goes away rather quickly.
On the bright side, over half of my tilling is done; I have my fertilizers, seeds & seed potatoes, and straw bales in hand; and the coffee can of leeks sprouted in record time.
While tilling before last week’s snow hit, I found several clumps of volunteer garlic I’ll have to lift & separate.
So far, the fruit trees have had the good sense to not try blooming during our (too) early warm spells.

Mostly cool and damp here in Central Missouri over the past week. My morel picking spots are just starting to produce. Mrs. Augie and I caught enough on Saturday to fill one medium size skillet at supper time.
The garden was almost dry enough to put some seeds in the ground and then it rained. Tomato plants have been secured and re-potted. They are happy on the patio in spite of the cool nights we’ve been having.
Weather guessers think it’s going to snow tomorrow night.

Good morning. Beautiful picture. Flowers blooming nicely. For Easter Sunday had snapdragons, violets, and pansies on the table. They are the plants doing very well right now. However, there must be a bug eating the seedlings. Three times already this season, seeds sprouted but were simply gone in a couple of days. Any suggestions?
