J&J was not in bed with the CDC like Pfizer and Moderna. There have been just as many, if not more, problems with the mRNA vaccines, yet they stopped the J&J?

Hi aimhigh, at least as far as the J and J/Astrazeneca formatted vaccines are concerned (viral vector) the problem is blood clots plus low platelets(?) or something and traditional drugs like heparin actually make the condition worse.
I am not sure if this applies to the mRNA (Pfizer/Moderna) vaccine-induced thrombosis reactions. 🤷🏻♀️

No.
It is a DNA vaccine. It uses an adenovirus to deliver the DNA as opposed to the others that deliver RNA.
However:
Vaccines have 3,000 deaths in over 100 million doses = 0.003%
Covid has 580,000 deaths in 32 million cases = 1.8%
Clearly in the short run the vaccines are safer.
