I don’t dispute that, but I’m neither muscle bound, tall, nor “big-boned” and if I were to be in the “ideal” BMI range I’d look like a concentration camp occupant. BTW, I’m an advocate for being fit but that would be impossible for me to maintain.
I am a weightlifter and hang out in the low teens of percentage body fat — clearly visible 8 abs and obliques.
I’m morbidly obese under BMI.
