Everyone is an asshole. We all have been so. One person’s chance encounter should not be an indictment of their life and ideals. Some of my best friends were assholes when I first met them. (insert “It Figures Joke here”).
He’s done other stupid things. I’m done here with this.
Not sure why as a pilot you are defending the crew from critical humor. Arent the priorities aviate, navigate, communicate?
Yes, he is different, he's actually funny, and he is the ONLY one doing what he is doing. All the rest are interchangeable. Which brings me to the FOX 7pm hour. They are rotating hosts, all good. However, it's nothing more than a repeat of issues covered during the day and almost the same format as the 3-4 shows that follow. It needs to be DIFFERENT. Different, albeit good, people doing the same thing lacks sizzle or pizazz. 7pm needs a new format, not a single host interviewing the same people that are on all day long saying the same thing.
If Gutless wanted to be funny(?) he could have chosen a better time for it not during a news program; secondly, the flight was not in danger - but of course the media had their own narrative on it. Gutless acted like the idiot he is before the full story correct emerged from the NTSB.
He is a comedian more than a news man. I didnt see the story, but GG is generally pretty good, or at least he was before COVID and they started doing the show skype style
I know about that incident because you told us about that incident: you said the crew was checking their schedule and missed the airport.
Glad they also missed any oncoming planes that got in their way.
Thank you for your knowledge of the incident and how ARTCC works.
