I’ve been trained in use of force as a police officer in a saner age. Additional factors ramp up the level of force that can justifiably be used. Some of these factors elude most people, but are highly logical if you think rationally about it. Size/strength differences between the perp and the officer is one (check). Extended duration of the episode due to the subject resisting (check). Environment that could potentially become hostile (check).

Chauvin was actually very restrained and conservative in the amount of force used against Floyd. Considering Floyd dickered around for several minutes without fully complying was on him completely.

No one knows the REAL force...but there were no bruises on his back, shoulders....anywhere.....and remember, he was only on the ground because he refused to get in the police car....screaming that he couldn't breathe....seems to be a favorite phrase used to try to back the cops off.

They say because the cops toe wasn't touching the ground...on the leg that was doing the restraining...Chauvin was using about 91 lbs of pressure. That's ridiculous. Chauvin's weight was on his other leg. Try it...

The guy was a druggie, probably a dealer and gosh knows what else.

And he wasn't turning his life around. Full-fledged criminal.
