I think the problem with the U.S. numbers is how deeply the virus established itself before we even knew it was an airborne virus. Those who should have known, had no clue. Hence, Dr. Fauci saying that masks are not important.
What is most troubling is the ones keeping track of the cases and deaths information have not given us a clue to what is causing the increases we are seeing today. I guess that are watching online porn instead.
By definition it is not an airborne virus, but that aside, The U.S. had its first case on Jan. 21st, Brazil had its first confirmed case on Feb. 26th. Not much difference there. Especially when you consider how much misinformation was being thrown around by China, the WHO and other “experts.”
Now, over a year later for both countries (with one month’s difference), 9% of the U.S. population has had the virus and only 5.5% of Brazil’s population has been infected.
Maybe it was their superior medical infrastructure! /s
