I read somewhere that Dr Lesslie was denying him some more prescribed drugs or something like that. Something inside snapped in this murderous animal and out of control anger evil spirit took over. I read that (according to a coach) he had a long history of being a difficult patient and ignoring medical advice on dealing with his football injuries, the last one of which (some 6 years ago) was a broken ankle. I don’t think he’d been playing for a while, and sometime before Covid, he’d opened a smoothie shop in town. However, it closed and went out of business during the shutdown.
He seems to have gotten addicted to prescription pain killers and the doctor was trying to wean him off them.
His parents were neighbors of the doctor and family.
