Our immune systems tend to deteriorate as we age, so older people's bodies don't work as hard to defend them against foreign invaders — including the protein introduced to the body via a vaccine. As a result, side effects are often milder and less numerous among the elderly than among younger adults.
Women tend to have stronger reactions to many vaccines, including those for polio, influenza, measles, and mumps — so it's no surprise that they have more side effects after their coronavirus shots, too. Cherian said this likely has to do with estrogen levels.
"Testosterone tends to be an immune-suppressive hormone, and estrogen tends to be an immune stimulant," he said.

“2. any preparation used to render an organism immune to some
disease, by inducing or increasing the natural immunity
mechanisms. Prior to 1995, such preparations usually
contained killed organisms of the type for which immunity
was desired, and sometimes used live organisms having
attenuated virulence. Since that date, preparations
containing only specific antigenic portions of the
pathogenic organism have also been used. Some of these are
prepared by genetic engineering techniques.

The first Moderna trial volunteers took the vaccine more than a year ago, in March of last year. They’re okay.
My brother who is a democrat feels millions have died, get the vaccine. I pointed out that 99.4 percent that get the virus get a mild case like the flu and then over. Why get the vaccine if it can endanger your life. These statistics fall on deaf ears with him.
I have to wonder, for those who haven’t gotton the shot and take Vitamin D, Zinc, K2, etc....will the vitamins last longer with regard to staying healthy and not getting Covid vs those who got shots and may be told they need another round of shots in the coming months.
Actually it’s because we’ve moved so far from God that the aims of women’s healthcare these past few decades have been almost wholly centered around birth control and sexual libertinism. (The abortion industry being the ultimate byproduct.) Not on honoring our life-bearing potential and fertility. Or the full feminine scope of our bodies as a whole.
It’s symbolic that the Covid vaccines themselves relied at some point on the cell lines of an aborted fetus. Goes to show how anchored on abortion our society, and the medical establishment really is. - A child sacrifice at the altar of science.
God can work good from evil, but the very real biological differences between men and women need to be appreciated. Including in this pandemic.
Yes age also factors in too! Younger women may experience more things statistically than older women, etc...
Those who take antiviral vitamins and supplements need to keep taking them while the virus is circulating, so there's that. We were taking them, and slacked off a bit. As luck would have it, that's when I was exposed. I got sick, but it was quite mild - milder than a typical cold, but longer and a little different. The burning in my nose and sudden loss of sense of smell was something I've never experienced with a virus. I think I had a very mild case about a year ago, and then this. I don't intend to take the shot, but will keep up with vitamin D, fresh air and sunshine as I normally do.
Good to hear you didn’t have a severe case of the virus and I applaud you for keeping up with the vitamins.
Our son works in an ER and sees COVID patients every working day. He says until recently they were mostly old, obese, or both. More recently he is seeing younger people who aren't terribly sick. They are scared and their doctors refer them to the ER to be sure their lungs are OK. Need for reassurance + CYA by the primary physicians = ER visit.
But I caught the virus and recovered with only minor symptoms.
I took the moderna vaccine both times and I got hammered both times.
What was the time span between having the virus and getting your first vaccine?
Thanks
I received the first dose of vaccine 90 days after I recovered from the virus.
80 days after I recovered from virus.
“80 days after I recovered from virus.”
That is about in the range of what our PPO told us to wait for our vaccinations if we had the CV.
The good news is you should be well protect for a good time period.

The women in our family have done better re less side effects from their vaccines than the weaker ones, the guys.
