Hot stage lights can cause a person to faint from overheating. I was an MC on a stage in high school and was on my way down but a teacher in the wings caught me. I didn’t actually pass out but felt very light headed just before I looked at him. He said he saw a bit of panic and my eyes roll and he came out just as I was going down. All I could remember was that I was very hot.
Watched many a fellow NJROTC an USNA midshipmen go down during P-rades. Hot, cold, didn’t matter. For them it was all about locking their knees and cutting off circulation.
Only time I almost passed out was actually at an easter performance at church once - I’ve since linked that back to eating carbs at breakfast without protein. ANY time I do that since I was a teen, I break out in a sweat, get dizzy, and if I don’t lay down quickly then I WILL pass out. Docs say I’m hypoglycemic but NOT diabetic - as long as I eat more protein then carbs, I’m fine....doesn’t bother me at all if it’s past noon.
Interesting. As of now I don't suppose that we know the cause of the woman fainting {maybe she thought she saw Joe Bitem reaching for her neck} - and we don't know the temp in the room at the time - but it is too bad her head hit the floor.
