Right.
Practice what you preach.
Hannity showed up at events.
...so did Wilkow.
...but for the life of me, I can’t recall anyone else who stepped out from behind the desk.
I agree, but today they played a clip from 2009, Rush talking about Governor Granholm’s inability to get jobs in Michigan. Didn’t get that.
I haven’t watched any of Jeopardy since Alex. But my mom was mentioning to me that someone from the studio there, and executive producer or some such, hosted it for a week and she thought he was terrific. Can anyone else elaborate, sorry I don’t have his name. It was week before Couric.
“I occasionally watch old movies, or repeats of Perry Mason or Gunsmoke.”......
You watching FETV and the Western Channel?? LOL...I do almost every day. I record Gunsmoke off channel 364 (INSP) and Perry Mason off 323 (FETV)....I make sure I have something to watch in case there is nothing worth a darn on & that is daily!!
I'll just ignore it, lol.
Sorry I meant kuric
This is ONE radio station's programming decision. In Ithaca, NY.
The spot was offered to Mark and he turned it down.
They’re being cheap. Rush was a 100 million dollar a year operation. Whoever they choose should have a state-of-art facility, a tremendous research team (both serious and not so serious news), knowledgeable online support, a website comparable to Rush’s with news aggregation, literally spends millions progressing the conservative cause.
Rush has hundreds of talk show host offspring. Don’t worry about the singular voice. The slot will be filled and talent on loan from God will surface.
Fact is the “online” reach of conservative voices dwarfs even Rush’s audience size.
Many on this board are spawn from the airwaves of talk radio.
The conservative universe is huge. We are entering into a new era.....
I don’t mind hearing old Rush clips now and then.
That said, the folks at EIB need to let go.
3 hours a day of hosted Rush clips is NOT a viable business model.
On Monday, PragerU posted a new five-minute video, titled “Understanding Ayn Rand,” and it instantly went viral. As of this writing, it has more than a million views—in just five days.

I’ll take low key over Bongino’s rants any day.
I started it the other day and can hardly put it down.
Highly recommended.
I CAN’T STAND Dennis Prager. He is full of himself, so self-righteous. If he is the replacement (and in NO way is he up to the job), I am not listening to the EIB network from noon to 3 p.m. No way.
I'm gonna go completely off topic and hope the mods don't mind...
I'm literally as old as Brown v. Board of Education, born on the same day, so I was a kid watching Perry Mason and Gunsmoke before moving to Japan in '67. Even as a child, I thought Paul Drake walking into Mason's office and saying, "Hi beautiful," to Della Street was a really nice way to affirm a woman's self-esteem.
Last week I was running an errand with my Millennial (adopted, I'm old enough to be Granddad) daughter, who voted for Trump both times, and works as a computer tech, a job she loves...except for two aspects: men never take her seriously as a female tech, and older guys hit on her (and they're serious) nearly every day. I figured that kind of stuff went out with the Reagan administration, so it's been an eye-opener for me. It doesn't make her want to be a feminazi, she just wants to be respected and professional, and the boss agrees, and so do I.
But I mentioned in the conversation that I thought there was a difference between being hit up on and having someone compliment you, and I brought up Paul Drake as an example of the latter. Her response: "Dad, you can't do that any more, when you say something like that women don't know what's coming next, and they're tired of getting hit up on by every old perv who thinks he has a chance."
It makes me sad to think that the morals of the 21st century make it so you can't be an angel of light because the devil has stolen the MO and ruined it, like he's ruined so much in our society. Kyrie eleison.
I believe Rush himself once said that there’s nothing older than yesterday’s news.
Except for the news from the day before that. And absolutely so, old news is boring until old enough to be called history.
Loyal and attentive dittohead since well before last century, fav Shanklin song is Clinton/algore “All i’m gonna do is have some fun....”
But as sweet as Katherine L sounds, I can’t listen to any more stories. Too much looking in the rear view mirror. It’s time to look at forward and now.
I’m truly sorry for her loss, and ours, and will fondly and forever think of RL, but the clock is still running for the rest of us. Not the time to just sit and reflect.
