A 30-year-old North Texas woman was arrested and charged for the deaths of her two young daughters.
McDonald told the dispatch officer she had smothered her two daughters: 1-year-old Lillian Mae McDonald and 6-year-old Archer Hammond.
Irving police say Madison McDonald went to the police department’s headquarters Monday night and used the phone in the lobby to call 911.

i don’t remember that story. But I admit I read the book a long time ago.
Satan is alive and well in 2021, and working overtime.
It was in the movie. A couple in a distant future are agonizing over whether or not to kill their children in their sleep because of the impending doom coming the next day. They don’t do it.
But the next morning, when the mother wakes, and realizes it didn’t happen, With great joy she rushes to her kids’ room, only to find her husband kneeling over the bodies of their children that he killed in the night.
With what is coming, I suspect there will be at least some “non-Christian” parents killing their own children out of misguided “compassion”.
I will come out of seclusion to post this.

Absolutely right, a lot of times this behavior would be called 'mental illness', and perhaps there's some truth to it but people choose to do horrific, evil acts.
That’s a life sentence or the death penalty.
