MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - Rev. Al Sharpton led the family of George Floyd and others in a prayer Tuesday outside the Hennepin County Courthouse, where the trial of Derek Chauvin is taking place. Chauvin is the former Minneapolis police officer charged in Floyd’s death.

"We wept through many cases from Rodney King to Eric Garner to Michael Brown—some never reached the courthouse," Sharpton said. "But here we are now, in the shadows of a courthouse, praying for justice."

Among the attendees at the prayer were Floyd family attorney Benjamin Crump, Eric Garner’s mother Gwen Carr and former New York Governor David Paterson.

Philonise Floyd, George Floyd’s brother, spoke following the prayer, saying, "After we get the verdict and we get this conviction, we’ll be able to breathe."

The media is driving this as a sure conviction. I’ve been following it fairly closely and it ain’t a sure thing by any means!

I say the hostile, cop hating crowd is as much to blame as anyone, maybe more, as they threatened the officers and distracted them.

If there is an acquittal there will be riots driven by the media’s malpractice.

It’s going to be interesting to see whether the defendant’s obvious innocence saves him.

It’s gets really strange when you realize most of the Left secretly hopes for acquittal so they can have a fit, riot, demand this and that and pontificate about ‘systemic racism’.

They are setting up the coming explosion now.

He stopped one, Genevieve Hansen, from administering aid during the encounter. She was a firefighter/paramedic that was on scene before the ambulance showed up.

I’m sure he was a good brother. 27 million reasons why.

Yes and like many highly paid sports figures with an abundance of melanin, the family will be broke and back on public assistance in a few years.

Or dead, they can afford "the good stuff".

I’m praying too: That the verdict is NOT GUILTY! Anyone doesn’t like the verdict and proceeds to break the law should immediately be arrested.

If he’s acquitted there will be riots.
......................................................
In any truly civilized country that would be no cause for alarm because such “rioters” would be apprehended immediately, jailed, and denied bale pending trial.

I wonder how much of it he has already had stolen from him. Plus the money he will end up just flushing away.

“The media is driving this as a sure conviction.”

Especially here in the Twin Cities.

The world-renowned genius, Sir LeBron James, tweeted (last year): All black people are constantly hunted down as soon as they step out their front door every morning.

Mr. James implies that Americans of all other races are constantly hunting down all black people 24/7. The overwhelming majority of liberals think genius LeBron makes an excellent point, thus there was virtually no criticism of LeBron's tweet from the left.

Liberals: "Never, ever base anything you say or do solely on race!"

Corporate America (in 2020-2021): "Buy Black!" ... Corporate America intensely promotes its race-based "Buy Black!" campaign.

Liberals:

Conservatives: "Typical."

“I can’t breathe” says the overweight thug overdosing on a cocktail of many drugs, regardless of if there are any cops around of any color.
