I’m looking forward to seeing how the helicopter performs.

I read the story and am surprised (disappointed) to learn there are no scientific instruments on board.

Maybe next time.

It is a technology demonstrator only - very high risk.

I hope that if it survives the planned test flight regimen, NASA can at least occasionally take some time to fly it to Percy's current position, and try it out in a "forward scout" mission. But it needs to fly AT ALL first.

I’ve read when Mars gets up to 60 or 70 degrees they are only talking about the first couple of inches from the surface. With a light atmosphere it gets cold very fast as you move up.
