I see this as just another ugly stereotype story about the Irish and alcohol.

Does every story about the Irish have to have some reference to drinking?

Can’t we have some nice stories from Ireland about their sports or their hobbies or their entertainment?

Meh same with Russian stories, most are avout the dumb things they do when drunk on vodka
