This isn’t an “us vs them” thing. At least to those of us who are still sane. I got a vaccination. Does that make me a Vaxxer? I don’t think so. And if you choose not to get one, you get no judgement from me. It’s your choice.
Oh, and I’m not a masker. I wear one to go into a store if they require it, but otherwise, no. My wife and I have been regularly going to restaurants and sitting happily in booths and at bars unmasked since this mess started.
You shouldn't be frequenting stores that "require" masks. Tell them "No" and go about shopping there. If they press the issue ask them if they want your money, or not. If their business is doing so well that you wearing a mask is more important than you giving them your money, then leave. Go someplace that does want your money.
That’s about where I am. My dad got the vaccine and I’m grateful to DJT’s warp speed effort for making it available to him. I’m personally not planning to get one. I’m not in a demographic where there’s much risk of/from infection and frankly I just don’t really think about it. I do find this vaccination passport stuff is troubling.
Regarding masks, I wear one at the store if required and that’s it. I think masks may have a small benefit indoors by blocking some airborn droplets. But overall I detest the masks, in large part because to me they symbolize the left’s manipulation and exploitation of COVID. What concerns me now is how quickly and how completely things return to normal. My unhappy guess is we’ll see mask wearing by many leftists and some fraction of the general public, hopefully small, well beyond COVID.
