The current fad of using LED lights everywhere reminds me of the era when the laser printer was invented and the explosion of fonts. Just because you have thousands of fonts available doesn’t mean you should use them all in every document you write. Too many fonts made a document really ugly.
Often, less is more and an understated elegance is much preferred.

Why not invest in Lordstown Motors Endurance? their EV truck burnt to the ground 10 mins after its debut.

First thing I thought of. Lucas switches have three positions: on, off and intermittent.

My complaint with LEDs, especially in car lighting, is the flicker. They’re a lot better than they used to be but it’s still noticeable at times.

and Lucas was frustrating as hell! Lucas..the Prince of Darkness. LoL

Oh their switches were notorious for contact pitting. (arcing and sparking)

They’ve still got to work out a way for it to consume 2 or 3 quarts of oil per mile.

Isn’t that the truth. The name alone is terrible. Also, the headlights are amusing.

Had an Austin Healy Bugeye Sprite for while back in my college days. One of its endearing quirks was that, if I stopped too hard at a light, the hood assembly would slide right off into the intersection. Fun times.
