I actually teach in the public schools in Florida. So many of my students from conservative families pegged me immediately as one of them. There is a small force of conservative leaning teachers, and I wish more would go into education. I would love to teach at a Christian school — but I do what I can.
I stayed in touch somewhat with my university through my leadership of corporate sponsored/funded engineering research partnerships. I think my university has gone full BML/transgender woke. It influences even students in the college of engineering although the engineering professors seemed embarrassed by it.
I taught about a quarter-century in NYC public schools. As soon as Bloomberg got mayoral control, the entire system went to heck, and this was highly accelerated under the "stewardship" of the idiot commie DumblASSio. Teachers will be written up for disciplining students, even students who never show up must be given a 55 as a grade, "guidance" counselors play games with assessing whether students have enough credits to graduate, counting many courses twice, students learn about black power, radicalism, etc. rather than American History. Every course that requires brainpower has been watered down to allow the lowest common denominator to pass. Some education, huh? Conservative teachers were harassed unmercifully until they quit, retired, or were brought up on bogus "charges" to terminate them. They didn't want people giving actually honest grades, no sir.
Soooo glad to be retired and far from that mess.
