Did you know that the original prop painting for ‘Allo, ‘Allo known as the Fallen Madonna with the Big Boobies (by “van Clomp”) was eventually bought by the 6th Marquess of Bath and is on display alongside her old masters?

$500,000 ?! It looks like a paint truck exploded on the wall. Modern “Art” is a big con job.
To: Rurudyne
Duh, everyone knows that, learned it in 1st grade.

Go to the article, it’s kind of funny.
I think that kind of “art” is pretty stupid. Having said that, the couple improved the original with their black splotches. Maybe they were paid to do it as a form of advertising.
My understanding is this “art” form is actually a form of money laundering.

Looks like the artiste used my cat’s butt as a brush and El Gato wasn’t happy to be used.

Hey, YOU try getting a truck to explode like that. It’s a one in a million shot.

(Any comment might be sarcasm, or not. It depends. Often I'm not sure either.)

If you can’t tell whether it’s “art” or a community paint-splash activity, then freep it.

"which now sports three ugly black splotches"
In addition to the other ugly colorful splotches.

... bought by the 6th Marquess of Bath and is on display alongside her old masters The Marquess of Bath is a man. The current (8th) Marquess is one Ceawlin Thynn, born in 1974. His wife, Emma, nee McQuiston, is the Marchioness of Bath.

To be fair, if you or I splashed a bunch of colors on a wall, it would look different from this “artwork,” just by the law of averages.

Probably, if you used the same materials.
Per the article: The damaged 95-by-275-inch untitled piece was painted by Paris-based artist JonOne, a k a Harlem-born John Andrew Perello, before a live audience in 2016 — and is valued at a whopping $500,000.
"Valued" is a tricky word, not to be confused with "worth." Although, as my late father used to say, "A sick chicken is worth whatever someone will give you for it."

A friend of mine’s young son once broke a lamp while I was at their house. I said “now it’s modern art.”
