Women charged in Chili's restaurant hostess attack plead not guilty

BATON ROUGE - Six of seven women charged in an August 2020 attack on a Chili's hostess are pleading not guilty. The women are charged with disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor.

The attack happened when the hostess, 17-year-old Kelsy Wallace, explained to a large party of 13 people that due to coronavirus precautions, the restaurant was only allowing 6 to a table at one time. That's when things got violent, and the teenager was physically assaulted by multiple women in the group.

Wallace described what happened to WBRZ, saying, "She pushed me. And when she pushed me, all I knew was to push her back. I reacted. That's when her and her daughters, they all came. And they're grown women. I'm 17-years-old. They're like, 20, 30, and the woman that pushed me looked like she was 40. So I'm standing there, they're on me, beating me. I'm standing there trying to hit them, trying to get all of them off me. And the lady she takes a wet floor sign and slams it in my eye. And I had blood rushing everywhere.”

Wallace suffered an injury to one of her eyes and a bald spot on her head where one of the attackers ripped her hair out. Seven women were arrested and charged following the incident.

Sherrie Bass has a bench trial set for a date in April. The five other women, Lakesha Antoine, Erica Dabney, Tai Doucette, Larashon Morgan, and Dajasha Vernell all have a bench trial set for June 23.

Tammy Dabney is the only one charged with a felony of aggravated battery. Her arraignment is set for April 5.

Get used to it people. It’s going to get a lot worse. The key here is that you realize if you are white you deserve to get beat up for no other reason than being white. And in cities with Democrat prosecutors you’re not going to see much prosecution of this stuff.

A few years ago while in the northern half of the Midwest, I saw young women working in a fast food restaurant with their hair all bound up. They were of German and Dutch descent (local demographic), rather large, tough and strong looking and from an agricultural economy. No incidents there with outsiders. ;)

Au contraire, young man. You accurately describe the symptoms of a social problem, but not the cause. LBJ, may the devil have him for breakfast, started all this nonsense with his war on poverty. One of the tenents was to deny welfare to any black woman who had a man living in the house. In effect he kicked all the fathers out of the black households.

The pathology of a single mother raising children in a home with no father is well understood. The Left understood this, they did it anyway, then created countless government agencies to deal with the predictable aftermath.

We have now three generations of American women and fatherless children who depend upon the government for subsistence instead of a husband and father... protected by many laws. See the problem? By the way, if only men voted, the electoral map of the US would be solid red. And that is solid red for all Americans, black, red and purple.

You are exactly right about LBJ, the great society program, and welfare in general being the inflection point between what had until then been increasing black success and the hell that followed. I thought about including that myself, but at this point LBJ is long gone, and today’s black Americans need to be honest about the causes of urban black failures on multiple fronts. My point was that regardless of how we got here, latching onto the woke identity politics as an excuse is self-defeating. Only an honest examination of the self-inflicted wounds that are occurring day after day after day presents any hope of turning the situation around.

No matter what nasty names the woke mob tries to call us in response, people must start rising up, resisting the dangerous PC nonsense, and bluntly pointing out that the solution to urban black failure is in the hands of urban blacks. First step: They should tell the white liberals driving them over the cliff to go to hell. Step 2: Repeat same with the black race hustlers and Nation of Islam racists, BLM, etc. At that point, the decks will finally be cleared to begin the many remaining steps toward becoming reacquainted with civil society.
