Commissioner of Baseball Robert D. Manfred, Jr. issued the following statement today regarding the 2021 All-Star Game:
"Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and The Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views. I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year’s All-Star Game and MLB Draft.
"Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box. In 2020, MLB became the first professional sports league to join the non-partisan Civic Alliance to help build a future in which everyone participates in shaping the United States. We proudly used our platform to encourage baseball fans and communities throughout our country to perform their civic duty and actively participate in the voting process. Fair access to voting continues to have our game’s unwavering support.
Trying hard to care. Still trying. MLB is woke toast.
I wonder if I should be happy or sad that these white, probably Democraptic Party members actually believe that African Americans are too dumb or stupid that they can’t get an ID card that is used for everything else in their lives that is also required to vote.
Who is dumb enough to still watch professional sports? They need to be abandoned until they figure out they are entertainers, not philosophers. We don’t care about what they think. Until they donate everything they make to the black communities they are just braying jackasses
Pro sports can FOAD.

Another reason not to watch professional sports. It hurt to give up football. Baseball? not so much
All professional sports are dead to me. Actually even some high school sports have jumped on the woke bandwagon, thankfully our school hasn’t yet made the jump. It will in the coming years though as the woke masses leave the city of Atlanta. They’ve successfully destroyed the city so on to the next town to destroy.
Played much of their bubbled postseason there last year. Apparently no one told them not to.
Georgia and the Braves should sue to force them to explain why, which would expose Manfred as a fool.
MLB is dead to me.
I was just beginning to follow MLB again.
But, this is absurd. MLB is again dead to me.
I have not watched an All Star Game since the mid 60’s and have never watched the draft.
I used to watch some games (NYY) until the began getting political a few yrs ago and when the first MLB took a knee I gave up the game entirely just as I gave up the NFL.
Now on the no watch list, more free time for me!

God works in mysterious ways.

But we are if we think Voter ID will solve this.

What does MLB have to do with voting or politics for that matter?

I was looking forward to watching some games — another sign Spring is here — but MLB can crash and burn for all I care. I hope wherever the game winds up that attendance and viewership go down the toilet. The corporate world has gotten too used to using its money and power to call the shots for everyone else. Stick it back to them. Starve the beast.
