Loved my new '72 Pinto--a dollar a pound=$2000.

'Bought it to commute and to race at road courses. After it was no longer eligible for the racing class, I sold it to my Dad. My Dad sold it to my girlfriend.

Later, I married my girlfriend!

Still running great, sold it in 1980 to an Indian student for $1600. Revved it for him to listen to the great "race sound" of the engine's original "aluminized" muffler. 😀

He stopped by a month later, and had installed a new muffler. 😞

:) I will say that my Pinto... as humble as it was.. got me to and from high school and college. In snow.. for whatever reason.. it did pretty well. Maybe because it was lower to the ground. Anyways, I lost it in a pretty bad wreck when I was 21. Some crazy (she was literally crazy) hit me head on. I cried for weeks at the loss. Hugs, Mom
