Thank you!
Sorry easter family visit this weekend had me out and about so I haven’’t been on in a bit. What I had said was that isn’t abnormal for a ship to make a few ovals and loops prior to entering a location that requires a pilot. Especially when they aren’t going to anchor.
(Note: The current track for the ship after passing through the canal is a near perfect circle - called an anchorage circle - definitely ancohored now.)
While it is certainly possible that the capt specifically plotted those circles/ovals to make it look like male genitalia, I think it is more likely given the area traffic congestion and the fact he wasn’t at anchor that he was just doing loops awaiting availability of a pilot. Human pattern recognition being what it is many immediately jumped to the conclusion that he did that specific pattern on purpose. Could be... just as likely it’s coincidence.
Look at the tiles/linoleum on the floor or if you have a marble countertop... see how many faces you can make out of the patterns. Some are sharper, some more vague.. none are intended. My thoughts on the subject. Sometimes we look too hard for things.
I admit it could be he planned it all. Till he talks we won’t know for sure.
