I’ve got a little ALGO. USDC and USDT both run on the Algorand network. They did a challenge recently to see how fast and cheap a $100 transaction could be. Four people on four different continents sent $100 worth of USDC around the world in less than 1 minute and the fees were $0.04. Now that’s fast, cheap peer to peer transacting. Trilema already solved while everyone awaits ETH 2.0

Stable coins seem much less risky to people which is why they’ll continue to be adopted, especially USDC since they’re audited on a regular basis. It also makes more sense to people because $1.00 = $1.00 which is a lot easier to wrap your brain around than $1.00 = 0.00003 Bitcoin or whatever it is. Buying a new car for 0.652 worth of a currency just seems weird.

Ok, maybe the wash sale rule doesn't apply to crypto. See your tax consultant, but:

Crypto Investors Can Use “Wash Sale” to Save Money

However, its rules don’t cover cryptos, which are treated as “property.”

Even so, there are other tax issues to be wary of...

That’s what they are saying... They seem to be treating Bitcoin as a form of currency speculation — which for a lot of people would be true. But as Bitcoin gains acceptance the wild valuation swing should smooth out unless the US Treasury continues to inflate the US dollar in which case Bitcoin will periodically adjust to the new exchange rate.

My son and I bought a coin yesterday not on the exchanges yet. We got something like 550 million of them.

Throughout the day it went up 175% and then before bed it was just up 75%.

And you earn more goings so we gained several million more.

It's a $30 gamble so I will take it. If this thing even gets to a penny a coin, I will be doing OK. (:
