Welcome to the club, Millennials.
The coveted COVID-19 vaccine became available to those age 30 and over in New York on Tuesday — but the newly-eligible found appointments hard to come by.
“I fully expected that with the surge of people in this age group that availability would be scarce, but I didn’t anticipate that the process of finding an appointment would feel like going in circles,” Staten Island resident Laura Dasaro, 31, told The Post.
Dasaro said that she spent much of Tuesday scouring the state and city’s websites to try to make a vaccine appointment — but to no avail.
“The most frustrating part is not being able to refresh the page to see if new appointments open up without going back and re-certifying eligibility,” said Dasaro. “Most places are not taking first-dose appointments and those that are don’t have any appointments or direct you to call.”
She added, “Calling got me no answers or full voicemail boxes.”
Other New Yorkers on the hunt for an appointment — after the state lowered the eligibility age from 50 — griped on Twitter Tuesday that the task was nearly impossible.
“Has anyone been able to schedule a vaccine appointment in NYC today? I’ve been trying all day on different sites, all of them are a mess. How is this working for anyone? #VaccinateNY,” Emily Afton tweeted.
Chris Kurdziel said in a tweet: “If anyone’s looking for a great way to get really frustrated and waste a few hours of precious time, I recommend trying to find a vaccine appointment in NYC rn [right now].”
Another Twitter user complained, “How do you get a vaccine appointment in nyc…this system is so f–ked upppppp.”

Cuomo: "I don't know. It's some stupid thing Orange Man kept haranguing about."
They can have my appointment. I don’t mind waiting until number if deaths/million is known.

“Reports of death after COVID-19 vaccination” just updated
“Over 145 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through March 29, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 2,509 reports of death (0.0017%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine.”
So, 2500 died of vaccine reactions and the rest died of broken legs and because they watched scary movies.
Or 0 died because of vaccine reactions.
That’s right, not a single death has been determined by investigation to have been caused by the COVID-19 vaccines in either the US or the UK. Zero. Not one.
Just a bunch of fearmongering nonsense to claim otherwise. And to use VAERS to do it is dishonest as well.
What a load of codswallop.
Q for the NYP: What's the uptake rate in NYS...?
If it was good, you lot wouldn't be shilling so hard, would you?
Coveted....
That's just fricking embarrassing.
And NY still has some of the highest rates of infection, indicating that masks, lockdowns, distancing, and “vaccines” are doing more harm than good.
Brought to you by the same government that counted votes in the last election.
Interesting chart that shows how far after the vax the deaths occur. Almost 1/3 of all deaths are in the first 48 hrs. after vax.

“...it turns out that it is doctors and nurses who are most reluctant to take a dose of a new COVID-19 vaccine.
Just 52% of health-care workers have had at least one COVID vaccine shot though they have been eligible for vaccination since day one of the vaccination campaign in December, a Washington Post and Kaiser Family Foundation poll conducted in late February through March found.
Of the 48% who have been delaying vaccination, “as many as 1 in 6 health workers said that if employers required them to get vaccinated, they would leave their job,” according to the Washington Post.”

Every time they change eligibility, appointments are slammed for at least a couple of weeks. That’s just the way it’s been almost everywhere.
South Carolina changes to all people 16 and over starting today. That’s the last phase.
Texas opened up to all 16+ on the 29th the system is slammed it will be weeks before they get caught up enough to actually take more appointments. The next two weeks are booked solid at every hub. The best bet is to find a small provider who gets a few hundred doses and then bribe er be a concierge patient. As with all things money talks. I know 4 perfectly healthy people who got doses months ago via their concierge doctors all have had dose 2 and gone back to “normal”

The ignorance and gullibility of some of these people is appalling. They are displaying a complete lack of ability to think and reason clearly.
I have known forever that the left has its narrative and facts don’t register with them. Unfortunately they are not alone. It is understandable that people are wary of a new vaccine, but the antivax, “it’s just the flu” conspiracy QAnon stuff is like a religion. I wonder how long it will be before they accuse Trump of being part of some conspiracy because he pushed for vaccines to be expedited.
In NYS, primary care providers haven’t been given the vaccine until a very few have gotten some recently.
Why leave primary care providers, the people who know their patients best, out of the loop?
Inquiring minds want to know.
“I wonder how long it will be before they accuse Trump of being part of some conspiracy because he pushed for vaccines to be expedited.”
Soon, very soon.
