>>They’re black. Are you afraid to identify them by their race?<<
Of course not. It is just when the story does not note the race of the perp I naturally jump to the conclusion it is those darn Amish again.
No way could it be holder’s people.
This woman's injuries are on the perp as well as EVERYONE in that city who legislated, judged, executed, and enforced illegal laws violating the victim's inalienable right to carry a firearm to protect herself.
“...the N.Y. governing class effectively support such crime as some sort of political statement.”
So true. Just look at the scum running for Prosecutor to replace Cyrus Vance. One says she will never support anyone being sent to jail, no matter what the crime, even rape or murder. Another says she will only prosecute crimes of “power or privilege,” not crimes of “poverty.”
And Sean Donovan (Obama’s former Housing Secretary), running for NYC Mayor, says he wants 3 billion taken from the Police Department budget and used for “social services.”
Nuts.
He is a security guard. Doesn't matter if he's old, it was his job. He needs to be fired if he can't do the job.
I am aware that the New York Times and others have since tried to walk back the story - to rehabilitate the reputation of the Big Apple.
The link in my earlier post included this from the Times: “While there was no question that the attack occurred, and that some neighbors ignored cries for help, the portrayal of 38 witnesses as fully aware and unresponsive was erroneous. The article grossly exaggerated the number of witnesses and what they had perceived. None saw the attack in its entirety. Only a few had glimpsed parts of it, or recognized the cries for help. Many thought they had heard lovers or drunks quarreling. There were two attacks, not three. And afterward, two people did call the police. A 70-year-old woman ventured out and cradled the dying victim in her arms until they arrived. Ms. Genovese died on the way to a hospital.”
All that is left is for the New York Times to report that the murder was “mostly peaceful.”
I saw this video.
Kitty Genovese all over again.
Oh I agree.
But that doesn’t take in to account for human behavior
Reminds me of the time my brother-in-law's wife worked for a brief time as a security guard for a store. She was obese and about 4foot & 10inches, and never had any fight training. My thought was, "you've got to be kidding, someone hired you?". Wrong people for the jobs. Two of my other brothers-in-law became SF cops, but they had fight experience and could handle it, one is a karate black belt. You can't do the job, don't take the job doing security.
But he was afraid to
I’ve had unarmed security staff tell me they were not supposed to intervene, just report...maybe call the police?
"...the Nazi security guard should be found guilty of being an accomplice to murder, the delivery guy should be in prison for life...blah, blah..."
