Since he'd previously tested positive for the Covid, I'd claim he died from the side effects of the virus, helped along with the lethal dosage of fentanyl.
Sounds like you have never had to maintain control over a 6 foot 7 NBA sized human-beast whacked out of it’s mind on dope. And you haven’t even known anyone killed by someone wearing handcuffs.
Lucky you.
What your position makes Chavin wish for is that he stopped for a donut and never arrived. Or that he saw him and gave him a verbal warning. etc.
Enough people think like you and guys like St. Floyd will be running the streets, and cops will be turning away from enforcement.
You will be astonished at what happens when cops driving down the street stop “seeing things” and start only responding to calls and doing so in the most perfunctory manner possible.
That is true. I've been a farmer all my life, traditionally an extremely deadly occupation, with many close calls not encountered by LEO's. I watched my father being killed in a tractor rollover. Some people chose other lines of work.
It did surprise me, seeing the goings on over the past year in Portland, Minneapolis, etc.
Farmer is more deadly that cop by far. But controlling a large doped up beast like Floyd is more than just “cuffs on”. Especially when surrounded by a large sympathetic cop hating racial mob.
DR: I’m not a copsucker (im a libertarian) but a number of things bother me about this case. I do not think he will get a fair trial and it’s a foregone conclusion. Another life will be ruined. I also don’t like how Floyd has been made into a saint. The whole thing is tragic.
I have had some private msgs asking me how can I support the cops using excessive force on someone like Floyd. The truth is I don’t and I find what he did regrettable and procedures should be reviewed but all I will say is we’re not on the scene or in these officers shoes when they have to make judgement calls against potentially dangerous assailants.
Have a good day.
