I remember one year when we went to the Outer Banks in late September or early October.
The Catbirds, which are one of my favorites up here, had left Maryland; and when we got to NC, the yard of our rental was full of them.
There’s something fascinating no matter where you live, and everything is always ‘revolving’ :-)
I forget which year it was but one time we had a HUGE flock of Cedar Waxwings that swarmed in and took to the fresh water in our bird baths and seeds/suet feeders. They were very thirsty. It only happened once or twice the nine years we were there. Messy but pretty birds.
