Wray was Chris Christie’s lawyer who got him off over the idiotic Bridge incident. Christie was cruising for reelection and had the support of most Dem mayors in NJ as his opponent was a cretin. His staff schemed to punish one of the few holdouts, the mayor of some dump called Fort Lee which is at the end of the GW Bridge, by shutting down the bridge to one lane at rush hour, figuring the resulting mess would be blamed on the mayor - no one cares who he is and 99 percent of the commuters don’t live there. So Christie’s staff took the blame, several were indicted and their lives ruined until the Supreme Court threw out their convictions. Christie was not charged and he probably thus owed a favor to this odious Wray. Why in earth Trump felt compelled to listed to his fat mouth is beyond me.
I believe this wasnt the only one. From my understanding a lot of bad picks came from Christie.
