Bill Mitchell-Why did Trump replace James Comey with Christopher Wray?
Gab ^ | 3.28.2021

"Ok, something I will NEVER understand.

When Trump fired the corrupt Comey he replaced him with the even MORE corrupt Wray, he had a chance to put someone in charge who could completely transform the FBI for the good. Instead he picked literally THE WORST person on earth for the job and LEFT HIM THERE despite obvious corruption and incompetence.

I would honestly like to hear from President Trump himself as to WHY he did this. It is incomprehensible to me and remains a dark mark on an otherwise stellar presidential record."

Fatso Chris Christy had a big role in recommending Wray to Trump.

I heard that the first thing McConnell said to Trump after the 2016 election is, “I don’t want to hear anything more about “draining the swamp”. I’m betting that Wray was McConnell’s suggestion simply because he was a guardian of the swamp creatures.

Trump’s main failure was people selection. This surprises me, I thought that would be his strong suit.

Trump was not a seasoned DC inhabitant when he took office, so I will give him a pass when he took the advice of others and made a mistake when he appointed Wray. The part that I do not understand is why, after becoming aware of the glaring error with Wray, he did not immediately fire him. Trump could have fired Wray for the manner in which the arrest of Roger Stone was handled. Trump could have fired Wray simply because he failed to manage the FBI in a cost saving way. Sending the resources to Stone’s house the was Wray allowed should have cost him his job due to waste alone. Who could have argued with that decision?

Why are career DOJ bureaucrats millionaires?

I think it is called, “counsel of the circle of the neocons”, who were surrounding him. Manipulation, coercion, and lies. After all, he was a bit of a political newbie...God save us all.

That's pretty much it in a nutshell.

Personally, I would have fired everyone who was a major officer at the DOJ & FBI and many of their deputies. They both had developed cultures where THEY were the law, and a law unto themselves. It is not the worst part of the swamp, but is has greater domestic affect than the military or intelligence branches, usually.

I do believe in term limits, not for Congress but for bureaucrats, across all federal agencies. THAT - lifetime federal bureaucrats - is, by size, the largest swamp of all.

Yes it totally does. You demanded someone to provide example which [sic] not researching the matter yourself.

I politely (even saying "please") requested corroborating evidence.

You are free to call me lazy for not "researching the matter" myself, but that in no way justifies name-calling.

Regards,

Said there was NO evidence that Antifa infiltrated the January 6th stop the steal rally. Meanwhile, there's video of them changing their shirts and JaydenX’s own video with the CNN chick.

Show their cards...

Right, even when a shoplifter is known to have stuffed things under their coat they have not committed a crime until they are in the parking lot.

It does concern me that it looks like the shoplifter is about to get in his car but I havent given up yet.

Correction, wasn’t a partisan position. Like most parts of the federal government, the FBI has been corrupted into pure partisanship in favor of the left by the Deep State.

“Reagan was a fan of Heritage so Trump prolly thought they were a group he could trust.”

That’s a really good point.

I believe this wasnt the only one. From my understanding a lot of bad picks came from Christie.

Yes, Trump had the perfect excuse to fire Comey and his inner circle on Inauguration Day - he had screwed up the email thing and even the Dems hated him. But he initiated the lie about Gen. Flynn immediately and did all the damage he could.

Pence may have also been a big part of that, if I recall correctly on it. I dont think Trump wanted upset Pence at that point and time. I think Trump figured not to upset Pence and then to fight the lie behind the scenes and out in the open, clear Flynn then add him to the administration.

Just read your post. So you think Trump is still in charge and the military will be making arrests and Trump will be back? How is that to be accomplished?
