Frankly I think this is crap. Science is clear. If you want to slow down aging, stop eating. The more you eat, the more you age. Exercise may be in this list because fat people don’t exercise. But its correlation not causal. Eating less, and especially fewer carbs will also help your dental health. Sugars, and starch decay your teach. Meat does not. Lab mice who are on very restrictive calorie diets live as much as 3 times longer than fat mice. And longevity due to low calorie diets has been tested in most animals including humans.
Actually you made my point about exercise. Fat people hate exercise and that is the main reason they die earlier.
Exercise helps speed up metabolism and helps you lose weight much faster.
As for eating vegetarian diet, that food sticks less between teeth than strands of meat. Bacteria in mouth grow faster on meat stuck between teeth than a piece of corn, carrot or rice. In any case the most important ritual in everyone’s life should be flossing. That is much more important than simply brushing. The bacteria growing in food stuck between teeth invade gum tissue much more easier than the hard as diamond tooth enamel. Many more teeth are lost due to gum disease than tooth decay.
But if one is sedentary and overweight, meat prominent diet will delay onset of Diabetes-2. So low carb diet has that one thing going for it.
Again, i got rid of my own border line diabetic condition with lots of exercise. From age 60 to 75 I played 5 rounds of 18 holes 5 days every week. That cured my borderline diabetic situation, lowered blood pressure to under 130, cured my hip joint and knee joint pain, got rid of panic attacks in closed malls or stores, and even got rid of getting a cold or flu every year. I ate mostly carbs. That is what I am used to. Growing up in India, my family ate meat only on Sundays. Chickens had to be bought live so rarely used. We did eat fresh fish or prawns once a week. There was no refrigeration anywhere.
