Ha. Yes - they were here at first too. However, someone here had found a copy of Walmart instructions which said to remind, but not to try to enforce, if people objected.
So I told hubby about that and his early encounter with the Employee was as I said up thread. My encounter in another city was also early on while they still had employee outside.
I don’t think they actually have a legal leg to stand on, but I ain’t a lawyer. I just know I ain’t gonna wear one to get groceries or anything else like that. Fortunately we have more people going without than with in our county.
We have enough other places that don’t require it, and I make it a point to go there. Walmart has a few items that I can’t get elsewhere, but I’ll either do without or use what I have in my pantry stash. 😊
I go to Walmart to buy household cleaning supplies, vitamins, bathroom items like toothpaste floss etc and some food items that they sell cheaper in larger quantity than other places. The price savings even beats Amazon. Next time I need to do major shopping I’ll go and continue to not wear one. Today I just really had no need to go in the store. The local major grocery store chains here Publix and Winn Dixie don’t force you to wear a mask. They blair out the request on their PA system but haven’t hassled me about wearing one.

Many Walmarts have curbside pickup now. You can order online, they will gather the items and meet you outside in marked parking places.
