‘Hopefully it will last like natural immunity should.’

what will that matter to the likes of Wolf, Whitmer, and Newsome...? or Cooper, Cuomo, and Hogan...?

Fauci does not want herd immunity. He is making money by extending the pandemic. Just look back at everything he has said and it will become clear to you.

It’s leveling off, at a number we don’t like. New York is OK, but cases at the Jersey shore and upstate NJ are still problematic, the places where people went to get away from NY. That to me shows that people are letting their guard down because the sea breeze is blowing or they’re in another beautiful place.

The important thing to remember about speed is that it keeps the mutations from forming and gaining a foothold simply by stopping the disease before it can mutate. Michigan and Florida are now showing the most mutation cases.

We have the triple whammy of Passover, Easter, and spring break coming, with all the travel and group gatherings that they entail.

Yeah, IgG, IgM can wane.

What you’re saying indicates estimates of infected who were unaware are underestimates.

It went by the wayside because it is much less reliable than the swab test for showing whether someone is positive. That’s why people get the swab test. They don’t want to know whether they had it or not. They want to know if they have it now.

I just had my first shot. After my second shot gives me super powers I’m going to fly over Dr. Evil and drop things on him as he’s announcing the need to wear 3 masks.

“We need dual testing...Test for Covid and antibodies at the same time.”

Yes.

Testing for antibodies seems to have gone by the wayside.

Actually, immunological science has been ignored throughout this whole Covid debacle.

Is it pride or some monetary benefit — or both?

I thought it was done too till I just got a text that a friend of mine died from it this morning. Not sure what happened as he just posted that he was positive 3 days ago. I suspect poor treatment or a heart attack as he was not in the hospital.

He is kicking the can down the road so people will keep listening to him. Even dems are getting sick of him. Even biden is as saying 4th of July parties and fauci is going against him. Next thing is cancel Easter and 4th. Maybe small groups for Thanksgiving if all there are vaccinated. But between now and then another variant of covid will be discovered and its lockdowns again.

Fake fauci will not willingly give up the national spotlight.

Fauci will not willingly give up his immense power over the nation and its government.

Yup—I am just waiting this out with no vaccine.

Sometimes problems really do go away—with a little patience.

“The researchers first isolated antibodies that could bind to the receptor binding domain (RBD), a crucial region on the virus’s spike protein. They then tested whether the antibodies could neutralize SARS-CoV-2—that is, bind to the virus and stop infection.

[edit: $$$ to do this. Not feasible for the masses]

Most participants had low or very low levels of antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Only 1% of the study participants had high levels of antibodies that could neutralize the virus.

[edit: this contradicts your remark, “Studies done 9 months after having Covid, 96% had robust anti-bodies and 4% had trace/ample amounts.” Where is your study you quoted?]

To examine the range of antibodies made, the researchers isolated the cells that produce antibodies—memory B cells—from the plasma of six selected participants with very high to moderate levels of neutralizing antibodies. Even in those with modest neutralizing activity in their plasma, the team found potent antibodies against the SARS-CoV-2 RBD. Surprisingly, neutralizing antibodies from different people showed remarkable similarity.”

[edit: As I said in my original comment. Look hard enough, spend time and money, and you will find the memory cells still active. But not feasible for the masses, unless you are prepared to spend billions and have 9 months andtons of dedicated equipment and lab personnel]

“Yeah, IgG, IgM can wane.

Yes, but my primary point is that we could find who already had it, with enough time, money, people, and equipment. But the cost would run in the billions, and take 9 months orlonger. And tie up equipment and personnel...just too expensive and take too long.

But precise antibody tests are there, though expensive. And the testing would need to go into super detail and precision, or they’ll just miss the memory cells etc.

infectabliity by anything has a lot to do with genetics. A recent study has pointed to 8 genetic markers that make English more succeptible to the virus, even if they have no other comorbidities. Here’s a BBC article that covers a few:
https://www.bbc.com/news/health-54832563

Someone who’s genetics preclude serious infection doesn’t get to preach to others that the virus is no concern. It may not be, this time, but it is of high concern to others who are genetically succeptible and their concerns shouldn’t be dismissed offhandedly

It’s not a game of well, you won’t die, so why worry. That’s only 1/10th of the argument. It’s what the virus can do to your body behind the scenes, on a semi or permanent basis as the virus actively blocks pain, that is what the discussion should be about. In fact, if you’re suddenly feeling better than you have in weeks, you might want to get a test.

Our family never had a flu shot, and must have herd immunity. No flu... no Covid. We rarely ever wear masks, and the six foot rule is a joke unless you’re surrounded by sneezing and hacking coughs.

Ditto

The sheep lining up for these experimental gene therapy agents is simply alarming.

with open borders, stats are out the window

Partial vaccination means you’re creating a war of the worlds between a mutating virus and defenses, with a virus likely to win since it can adapt much faster. Vaccine companies can tweek their shots, but that tweek only goes to the next to be vaccinated, not the already vaccinated. Meaning back to square one and re-vaccination with boosters are necessary.

Introduce a more potent variant such as the Brazil variant that can infect ‘recovered’ people, open borders before the rest of the world has the pandemic under control, and herd immunity is a pipe dream fed to the stupid to prevent chaos, which is exactly what WSJ is doing.

I'm not a doctor or a Fraud like Fauci so I won't give advice. But if I were under 40 in good health I would not get the vaccine.
