I hate those voluminous bubble wrap with a tiny item inside a huge carboard box. Doesn’t Amazon have smaller boxes? It would be against CDC rules for me to pop the bubble wrap within 6 feet and breathe in the unknown air. I just place them on the parking lot concrete and run over them with my car a few times. Must follow CDC rules!
If you’re talking about the air pillows (much larger, air filled squares than tiny bubble wrap).....those aren’t inflated in China.
Companies (like Amazon) have YUGE ream rolls of flat plastic pockets.....and the pockets are inflated, within the distribution centers.
The plastic is made in China, then shipped here. Where it’s either filled and sold to smaller distributors, or, sold flat, on the rolls, and inflated at the large centers.
So, that’s good ol’ American air you’re taking outside to pop/fearful of.
Think about it....why would they take up space in that shipping container....that they want packed to the brim w/cheap China stuff...with air pockets???
Space = $$$/yuan.
And, at least half of the pillows/pockets wouldn’t survive the long trip. 😏
