There are microwave pulse weapons that can efficiently take down drones. Field portable. Already in the hands of U.S military ground troops. Perhaps they need to be a Navy ships as well. Indiscriminate use of the weapons grade lasers is a bad idea. The adage of being aware of what is downrange of your intended target applies.
