The lack of custodial care for the mentally ill in this country is medieval and reprehensible and can be laid directly at the feet of ultra leftist radicals.

What has happened is that leftists changed laws and promised community care to people with non rational thinking and judgment disorders. This is totally ineffective and outrageously expensive. The leftists are now providing inadequate to no care to cut down the population of mentally ill. Basic custodial institution care is less expensive and much safer than the free-range psychosis now occurring. But it doesn’t fit into the ultra radical extremist leftist worldview.

Indeed. This all started when the mental hospitals were shut down. The start of the downward spiral of our society. There are people in every population that should not be out in society and that includes the insane. I forgot which president ushered in the closures of mental hospitals.

“One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”. That one movie got us where we are now. Thanks, Hollywood.
