During this time of being a people plundered by bad policy and bad actors as well as crimes that test the fabric of society I wanted to share how I was comforted. After being sexually assaulted, the assailant tried to strangle me and succeeded in cutting off the blood supply to my brain momentarily. As a result, I had a stroke and am now handicapped to a degree.
During my recovery I had to see how this would work out for good, even if I was to be injured for the long run. Jesus saw the multitudes and He was moved with compassion. The Gospels record how He healed them all, everything else not withstanding, but rather just as they were.
Once I was trying to understand why evil stole my right to my life as it had been, healthy vibrant and able. Jesus so tenderly asked me this question, “what do my eyes look like?” As I looked into His eyes I saw they were like mirrors. I stood before Him in my pain and wounds and I saw in His eyes filled with my suffering. I saw myself covered in love and compassion. As I contemplated the imagery of the Lord carrying not only my pain and hurt but that of all the world who seek Him, my eyes filled with tears of gratitude at the release of my pain.
Lord let me ever see my world through your compassionate eyes.
JESUS promised, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Thank you for sharing your moving testimony.
God Bless be to you.
Thank you.
Thank you!
Bless you sister!
The Lord promised to wipe away every tear from our eyes. He will, and a brighter day is coming for all who trust in Him.
Whenever I have a massive mountain or hill to climb, I always read/meditate on Proverbs 3:5-6.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
Follow Him and leave the consequences to Him. I think our redemption is coming very very soon.
Thank you and bless you.....
Thank you for sharing this. Yours is faith tested by fire. It is pure gold.
What a beautiful person you are.......thank you for this.....
We have eternity. We can lose all there is on this Earth, but nobody can take Jesus from us. God bless you.
Thank you for you touching testimony of Christ’s love and comfort.
GOD Bless
