I agree. There aren’t many Birchers left today, but they were right about most things. They were big on identifying the “New World Order” and this phrase was hung around their necks like a piece of radioactive debris. When Bush #41 used the phrase in the early 90s, the GOP’ers had no idea how to react.

I would guess there are as many members of the John Birch Society, as there are Freepers, only far fewer factions among them. So in that respect you are probably right.
